Clark Construction has been selected by the City of Marshall as Construction Manager for the new Regional Law Enforcement Center. Pre-construction work is already underway. Construction is expected to begin in April 2014 and the project expected to be completed in June 2015.
The new Regional Law Enforcement Center will be a multi-purpose facility. Among its many functions, the center will offer a controlled area for suspects and arrestees, enhanced privacy for customer service, increased ability to share and combine services with the Marshall Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan State Police, a space for adequate training and education, as well as an expanded area for police forensic services to enhance criminal investigations.
– Chad Riehl, Project Director
The project includes the construction of a new joint facility for the City of Marshall Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Road Patrol Division and the Michigan State Police. The Regional Law Enforcement Center will be located on a 10 acre site on North Brewer Street (Old US 27 North), south of I-94 Exit 110.
The green field site will be developed with the appropriate security, circulation paving, and parking, including covered parking. The project will also contain a storage building for Police equipment.
