Mechanical renovations providing new central cooling system of 270,000 s.f., five building complex (North Science, South Science, Arts and Science Commons, Starr Building and Williams Auditorium).

Scope of project includes construction of new 3,600 s.f. main chiller building with (2) 750-ton low pressure centrifugal chillers and (1) 200- ton air cooled chiller, new chilled water piping to all air handling units, replacement of select air handling units, painted interior, face brick and metal panel exterior, exposed steel, epoxy floor and associated sitework and utilities.

Special features include:

  • (2) top end “Tower Tech” cooling towers
  • 2,616 ln. ft. of process distribution pipe, avg. 4” pipe
  • 110 ln. ft. of 10” direct burial “Perma-pipe” and 105 ln. ft. of 4” “Perma-pipe”
