This new 91,000 sq.ft building provides flexible, state-of-the-art classroom, laboratory and clinical spaces, faculty offices and administrative spaces for the Michigan College of Optometry as well as other departments; state-of-the-art computer laboratories including network support facilities used by all students; distance learning facilities; a teaching auditorium; and a student, faculty and staff lounge/library.

A ground floor optometry clinic serves as the Center for Interdisciplinary Diabetic Care (Optometry, Pharmacy and Nursing). The clinic provides eye and vision services to students, faculty and staff, as well Mecosta County and surrounding residents.

Building materials include reinforced concrete masonry units and brick veneer with structural steel framing and features state-of-the-art voice and data communication systems. The project also included new parking, landscaping and storm water management.
