In a dynamic partnership, Clark Construction Company embarked on a multi-phase transformation alongside Emmet County, guided by an innovative Design/Build contract:
Phase 1 encompassed the meticulous renovation of a 6,000 sq.ft. building, now home to a crucial school for at-risk teens with ties to Probate Court. This collaborative effort, in conjunction with Char-Em ISD, provides a nurturing educational environment.
Phase 2 marked a significant expansion. It entailed demolishing a 9,600 sq.ft. structure and erecting an 18,500 sq.ft. addition, which now houses the 90th District Court. Concurrently, revitalization took place within a 3,500 sq.ft. section of an existing jail facility, introducing essential upgrades such as new beds, a modern kitchen, an intake port, and an expanded visitor area. This phase commenced after the successful completion of the initial day school project (Phase 1), strategically aligning the project’s progression. Building upon this collective momentum, Phase 3 initiated a comprehensive renovation, infusing fresh vitality into 13,500 sq.ft. of the existing County Building. This collective effort underscores our commitment to advancing infrastructure and cultivating a positive community impact.
