This project encompassed the construction of a 151-bed county jail facility, coupled with a Sheriff’s office, to serve as a cornerstone of the local justice system. Located on a previously undeveloped greenfield site in Mt. Pleasant, the endeavor demanded extensive infrastructure additions, including the extension of water, sewer, and primary electrical services, along with the expansion of the county road network to provide access to the site.
One of the distinguishing features of this project is its innovative podular design. While initially designed to accommodate 232 beds, the facility offers significant potential for future expansion. Through the implementation of double bunking and adaptable spaces, the design can readily support an increased rated capacity of up to 286 beds. Moreover, the modular configuration of the building allows for seamless incorporation of additional pods as the need arises, reflecting our forward-looking approach.
A notable milestone achieved in this project is the provision of 100 percent secure storage for law enforcement vehicles. This facility introduces a crucial element of security by ensuring that all law enforcement vehicles are protected within the premises.
