In a collaborative endeavor, the Clark Team played a pivotal role in the meticulous selection of architectural firms for both the jail addition and the new court facility in Montcalm County. A transformational journey unfolded with a new 127-bed, 30,700 sq.ft. addition and renovation to the Montcalm County Jail. This comprehensive project spanned housing, control center, program spaces, intake/release areas, a public lobby, visitation zones, kitchen, laundry, and medical facilities.
Simultaneously, the courthouse underwent substantial expansion with a 28,500 sq.ft. addition and basement housing crucial staff support areas like locker rooms and squad rooms. This extension included essential elements such as 911 Central Dispatch and EMS facilities. The existing 14,000 sq.ft. courthouse was thoughtfully renovated to accommodate three modern courtrooms with cutting-edge security and technology, while also housing Friend of the Court and county administrative functions. The comprehensive scope extended to encompass enhancements like a Vehicle Sally Port, Booking/Detox Cells, Inmate Property/Storage areas, Medium/Maximum Cells, Work Release Zones, and essential Kitchen and Administration renovations.
