As part of Muskegon Community College’s efforts to bolster science education, a $9.2 million Science Center and Addition was constructed. This visionary initiative aimed to establish a modern science wing equipped with advanced lab equipment, catering to the rising demand for science, math, and technology majors across the nation.
The MCC Science Center encompassed a two-level Science/Technology Building addition, featuring six cutting-edge laboratories and six classrooms, serving a diverse array of 18 academic programs. Additionally, the project involved renovating 20,000 sq. ft. of existing space, creating an inclusive environment for science education within spacious, technology-equipped classrooms.
With the project now completed, the facility stands as a testament to Muskegon Community College’s commitment, offering high-quality lab and science classrooms that met the needs of students pursuing careers in science, engineering, mathematics, and technology fields.
