Why do you like being in construction industry?
I like being in the construction industry because I like the fast-paced work and that every day is different. I also enjoy watching a project from the stages of it being in 2-D drawing set to the final completion of it being built.
Why are women successful leaders in this industry?
Women can provide unique and strategic problem-solving skills and perspectives to help propel the industry into a forward thinking, diverse, and productive environment
Advice that you have for women entering the A/E/C.
Take advantage of the opportunities the industry has to offer and don’t let feelings of intimidation or shyness steer you away from jumping into things you may not be confident of at first. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and find people who you can rely on to mentor you or learn from. Everyone in the industry has a unique background and set of skills that the next person will not have, so take that as an opportunity to continue to learn no matter how new or seasoned you are in the industry.
